Scott Muir is an outstanding mountaineer with trekking and climbing experience gained in mountains ranging from Greenland to the Tatras, Alps and Himalayas. He is a fully qualified mountain instructor, full time climber and is seen on TV.
Most people go walking because they enjoy it. It's a great way to escape the daily work routine, and you can do it at any level you like - from a Sunday afternoon stroll, to full days in the hills, long distance footpaths, to multi-day trekking holidays across exotic mountain ranges on the other side of the world. For most of us, the fact that walking is a healthy activity is a hidden bonus.

However, you can have too much of a good thing, and Chris Fenn's articles show you how to avoid problems when walking, as well as demonstrating how to reap the most benefit from your walks through good nutrition and Trevor Prior provides a lot of sound advice to help you look after your most important walking tools - your feet.
